For many years we sold the Defender fuel cover made by Defendoor in the Czech Republic as it was a simple modification to counter the disadvantages of the recessed filler neck without a flap. Since the Czech company and its product unfortunately no longer exist, and there is still a lot of need for fuel covers for the Landy, Nakatanenga have teamed up with the specialists from TREKFINDER and revived the product. The ingeniously simple lid is guaranteed to keep moisture, snow, ice, salt, splash water, mud and dust away from the filler neck and looks good at the same time. The Defender fuel cover for the body opening is made of high-quality, slightly flexible plastic and is held securely in position by the groove all the way around it. No screws, rivets or moving parts for installation. When refuelling, simply press against it and loosen the lid and learn from my experience don’t put it on the pump while you fill up. The plastic is UV and temperature resistant and guarantees a long service life and consistent material properties.
