About our 150mm Straining Post Our round & pointed timber 150mm Pressure Treated Straining Post is available in a variety of lengths and comes pressure-treated. TANALITH E pressure treated timber has a long term protection against fungal and insect attack, including termites. TANALITH E pressure treated timber has an initial natural green colouration. Upon external exposure, the green colour slowly weathers to honey brown and eventually becomes a natural silver grey. This weathering process does not indicate any loss of preservative protection. Our Rapid Set Fence Post Concrete is ideal for fixing your 150mm Straining Post. You can find it HERE. Log Selection When using natural resources, careful selection of materials is key to creating successful products. We begin by handpicking all raw materials to match the specific requirements of each intended component. Next, we ensure that each component is crafted from the appropriate section of the log and made from the highest quality materials. Afterward, the logs move to the ‘green mill,’ where we saw them into rectangular shapes. At this stage, the logs are fully saturated, and the saws create a rough surface on the wood because some fibers are torn out rather than cut. Following this, if the timber needs seasoning or drying, we proceed by removing much of the moisture from inside the timber. Once seasoned, we machine the timber to achieve smooth or shaped surfaces. Helping to maintain ‘Forests For All Forever’ The global benchmark for responsible forest management, The FSC logo identifies products which contain wood from well-managed forests. These are certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council. FSC is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Our forests give us many things like books, tissues, furniture and so much more. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) helps take care of forests and the people and wildlife who call them home. Buying products identified with either schemes logo helps support the growth of responsible forest management worldwide.
